Before you Leave for Break…

December 10, 2009

This Week in the CSC

December 9, 2009

Need a study break from the library? We still have volunteer opportunities for the next few weeks!

  • Temporary Food Runs are a great chance to get involved with Student Food Rescue for a few hours, and a good way to test the program out without a long commitment. Email sfr@bu.edu for available time slots next week.  Runs have at least two people, and are under a two hour commitment.
  • Support Alternative Spring Breaks with an end of the semester meal or drink at Uno’s! This Saturday, December 12th, 20% of each meal with a fundraising ticket will go to the ASB Scholarship Fund, so even more people can go on a trip. Visit the Facebook event page to print out your ticket.
  • Donate your school supplies and textbooks to the Delta Supply Drive before December 17th. Drop them off at the CSC, or email bucsc@bu.edu if you’d like someone to pick your supplies up. The drive is especially seeking math supplies. All supplies will be donated in January to children in the Mississippi Delta.

Oh, The Weather Outside is Frightful…

December 9, 2009

But Student Studio is so delightful! Stop by the GSU Link to decorate a holiday card (and eat some delicious baked goods) for a small $1 donation. Volunteers will be there until 5 pm, and donations will go to purchasing art supplies for next semester.
